Next in our Meet the Therapists series is Aly Giermann.
Aly specializes in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addictions, grief & loss, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and working with clients on issues related to: self-esteem, relationships, personal growth, and goal-setting. Aly’s also trained and experienced in writing SRS (Sex Reassignment Surgery) Letters. She utilizes a holistic approach, incorporating treatments such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, and addressing the mind-body connection.
Her educational background includes a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Vanguard University. She has experience working with people of all backgrounds including at a domestic violence shelter, substance abuse treatment center, community hospital, and in palliative and hospice care.
When not working, you can find Aly out enjoying nature – camping and hiking with her friends, family, and two dogs.
